Ballet for Her!

Wee M had her first real ballet class with full leotard and slippers!  She loved it!  Her teacher got her dressed and dad and Chippy came and picked her up and walked her up the stairs to the ballet studio.  Her teacher is Miss Emily.  Half hour later dad picked her up again and walked her back to class - success!

Lego Camp Redux

After such a good time at camp last week, we put Chippy in Forts and Castles this week.  Just two kids in this week's class - him and the friend he met last week!

Ouchie!

Big ouchie on Sunday morning when Chippy ran and jumped on the couch, somehow landing on his forehead.  With everyone in a varying state of undress, we jumped in the car and headed for emerg.  Four stitches later he's patched up and as good as new!   Chippy was crying in pain when it happened, but he cried even more when we said we were taking him to the doctor! Almost worth going when they give you teddy bears and popsicles ... and the stitches didn't even hurt!  He was a very brave boy (who has learned his lesson about jumping head first onto the couch)!

Walden Pond

We finally made it out to Walden Pond after two years of talking about going.  The kids weren't too happy about it to begin with, but they changed their mind when they started watching for signs on the path to Thoreau's cabin that depicted a bear saying things from Thoreau's book.  We stopped for a picnic and to splash in the water, then finished walking around the whole pond!

Drive Home to Boston

The kids were spectacular on the way home - we made it from the Cottage to home all in one day!  We stopped at a huge park in Madoc and then again in Kingston to pick up some Queen's gear!  The kids entertained themselves by taking pictures with my phone, lots of reading, and by watching the Lego Movie, and Frozen, and Frozen, and Frozen...

Lego Space Camp

First pictures are emerging from Lego Space Camp and we have a space station, the earth and the sun! Reports indicate this is the best camp in the universe!!!

First picture is the resulting cars from robotics camp in the AM.

Report Card

Wee M got her report card before our vacation, and boy was it stellar!!

Finally Cottage Time!!!

It was a short visit to the cottage this year, but we packed a lot in!  Had our annual UNO tournament where Wee M was the grand champion.  We had Kwartha Dairy ice cream, watched Danger Mouse, Webers hamburgers in a train, cottage pancakes with cottage blueberries picked by Bubba and Wee M, paddle boat rides around the island, a chat with a loon, a cottage haircut, Chippy practiced with his new-to-him camera, and the kids swam - with Chippy being brave enough to float without anyone holding onto him!

Lego for Her!

Wee M built this Sleeping Beauty Lego set all by herself.  Chippy helped direct, but was instructed not to touch the Lego.  They make a good team!  Speaking of teams, they have decided that they will both be firemen when they get older and that Wee M will be on Chippy's fire fighting team!

Safari Niagara

Chippette loved the monkeys, and Chippy asked that we ride the train around the park for a second time before we left!

Niagara Falls

The kids loved Niagara Falls!  When Chippy turned down Lundys Lane for the first time he said he was in 'a whole new world'!!!  The mirror maze and glow in the dark mini golf were a bit too scary for them, but they got used to it.  They both enjoyed their triple ice cream cones for dessert!  Chippy was the big winner at the casino with a jackpot spin on one of the arcade games that spits out tickets!  Enough for a punching balloon and mini bouncy ball for each of them!

Looking at the older Chippy books ... Lots of 'oh, I remember that!' from Chippy!
