Ready for Santa

Very ... VERY excited!!

Providing the requested cookies and carrots!

The First Gift of Christmas

No need to take the Polar Express ... Santa flew into Boston tonight!

Naughty or nice?

Santa as excited as Chippy at the lego!

Kisses from Spot

Two very happy kids, and one very excitable Santa!
By the end, Santa was ready to take Chipette home with
him - he thought her so cute!!

Melting Snowman

Such a simple idea - a melting snowman ... and the kids were entertained for a long time!!

Frozen

Chippy went to his first movie today with Grammy!  They went to see Frozen -- Chippy liked the movie but was a little unsure of the wolves that chased through at one point.  But beyond that he liked the lady in the movie that made things frozen :)

Snowman!

Snowman time!

Fun With Friends

Last weekend Chippy and Chipette got together with their friends Carl and Walter and went to a Christmas tree display that had a big play area! Who knew that going out in public with 4 kids and a baby could actually turn out okay!

The Velveteen Spot

It is official -- Spot has become 'real'!  Spot has ideas, he has feelings, he gets hungry, and sometimes he just needs Chippy to give him a kiss and a snuggle.

Spot just got a face lift from Grammy - he's all plumped up and ready for the next year of excitement!

Unfortunately, this new attachment has required that Spot becomes a house dog only - - I don't want to be searching Boston for a lost Spot!

On a completely unrelated topic - Chippy's favourite colour is red!  Twice in the last week he has been asked to pick a colour and red was picked both times.

Craft Day

We had a craft day this week where we made sun catchers and a gingerbread house.  What surprised me most was Chippy's neat and linear approach to decorating his gingerbread house, and for Wee M it was her excitement and concentration when doing the crafts - she was right into it!!

Wee M Turns 2!

If you ask Wee M how old she is ... she says 1.  If you hold up two fingers and ask her how old she is ... she says 3!  Sort of like her colours ... if it's not yellow ... it's pink!!

Wee M had a nice birthday today.  She received new friends, everything Dora, new clothes, a potty and new pull up diapers! She tried sitting a few times today and requested it again before going to bed.  She's making lots of noises while sitting - but no success yet.  It'll come - she's definitly becoming interested. I think the Dora pull up's were a hit - she was showing everyone she had them on!

New friends!

Wee M and her willing assistant!

She blew the candles out before I even set it down!

Trying on her new clothes!

Chippy making the birthday cake!

Last Day of 1!

Happy 4th Birthday Chippy!

Chippy was happy to turn 4 this morning -- He just woke up and he was 4!!  Then we found out it was actually Spot's birthday, too.  He turned 4 today, just like Chippy!  Spot has become a more active member of our household recently -- playing with Chippy's toys, eating when Chippy eats, passing messages to us through Chippy.

Chippy loved all his presents - he was so excited!! He has new clothes to wear tomorrow, he's wearing new PJ's right now,  and he received lego and playmobil which he love, love, loves!  He got a new clock to help him tell time, and some books for bedtime reading!

Chippy's 4th Birthday Party

Wow ... what a birthday party!!  Chippy was so excited to have four of his best school friends over for his birthday!  (Four is about all this party could handle!!)  He couldn't wait to do everything we had planned and as soon as we'd start something he was already asking for the next activity!  Honestly, throwing the kids in the basement for 2 hours would have been sufficient - they had a lot of fun just playing with they toys!

Pin the tail on the donkey ... not too interested
... except for Wee M who loved it!

PiƱata -- definitely a success --
again Wee M was as excited as anyone to give it a shot!

Stamping -- a request for additional stamping pads led to the
opening of one of Wee M's intended Christmas presents!

Finally ... cake!!

And a serve yourself ice cream bar which was a highlight!

Present time!  The kids seemed to think the idea was to open the
presents they brought ... luckily Chippy didn't mind.
A good half hour was spent by the kids opening and playing
with the gifts.

Wee M

Wee M is growing up so fast!
She looked so pretty today in her dress and pigtails - and even had a spot of lipstick!!
(But don't tell dad!)
