Disney on Ice

Fresh from skating, Chippy got to see Disney on Ice. He was mesmerized by the performance. He kept calling it a big movie and said that he wasn't even scared! Too bad the hot dog made another appearance later that evening!

A Providence Day

A quick trip down to Newport and Chippy got his first skate ... He loved skating!! They wouldn't let Wee M on without skates.

Writing

Chippy has been writing a sentence a day ... today he finished his first page!

Lego Boy

Chippy continues to spend hours each day playing lego - from first thing in the morning to the last thing he does before having books and bed.  His creations are almost exclusively vehicles but we are starting to branch out into flying vehicles.  His creations are getting more creative by the day!  He much prefers puttering around with the bricks and mini figures than building from one of his instructions.

Chippy went to see the Lego movie today with daddy.  

I guess it wasn't that big of a hit .. pretty scary for a 4 year old!

Huge Announcement!!

Miss Wee M had a pee in the pot!! She's had three in two days!! Good job Wee M!! :)  

And the big motivator is .... band aids!!!

She is also doing really well in her new bed!  She fell out a few times the first few nights, but I haven't heard her fall out for 3-4 nights now.  She doesn't really understand that she can get out of bed without calling for us.  When Chippy is up in the morning and hears her, he goes in to collect her ... M&D get to stay sleeping just a little longer in the mornings!!

Best Library Ever!

This is Wee M's idea of the perfect library ...

Crafts as you walk in the door
A room full of toys to play with during toddler playtime
Activities almost every day
A toy 'library' where you can take toys home
And ... drumroll ... iPads filled with games attached to polls!

No wonder this library was runner up for Best Small Library in the US!

Big Bed!

Wee M is trying out a big girl bed tonight! She got a stern warning that if she got out of bed, the side would go back on. Not a peep out of the young lady after she was tucked in!  (A small note that daddy thinks this may turn out worse than Chippy's first few months in a big boy bed ... we'll see ... mommy thinks Wee M can do it!)

Elmo

This morning we ventured to Dover to meet Elmo!  Chippy was beyond excited and stuck close to Elmo from the moment he came in, through the story time, until he had a chance to sit on his lap and give him a big hug.  Chippy tried to take his wee sister up with him but she was having none of it.  She was happy to study Elmo from afar.
