Then off to the dentist for both kidlets.  Both passed with flying colours and were pretty happy through the whole process!

Chippy had his first doctor appointment in Boston to have his state of Massachusetts mandated lead test.  Unfortunately, the nurse thought she could get a small vile of blood from a small prick from his heel.  This totally did not happen and we'll likely have to go back and do this all over again when the blood services decides there wasn't enough to test! Ugh ... poor Chippy! :(

deCordova Sculpture Park

Today we ventured to Lincoln, MA and visited the deCordova Sculpture Park.  They had a kids program on this morning so we joined in.  Chippy explored a garden and took a tomato back inside to take it apart!  He loved it!  We also had a quick walk around some of the sculptures in the park.

This afternoon we went to Chippy's open house at school.  He showed us all the different centres in his room, and then we got to bring a book home of things he has been working on.  For only three days at daycare, he has been quite busy!

First Day of Boston School!

Chippy's first day of new daycare was a success!  He started out a little shaky, but his daily report card indicates that he soon found the lego table and the world was good again!  At circle time his job was the song picker (he says he picked Old Mcdonald) and they read The Bravest of the Brave.  Their daily project was measuring themselves in inches on the wall and stars on the floor.  They pasted star stickers to match the stars they were 'tall'  He ate his lunch and had a good sleep.  He liked the tricycle and the whiffle ball.  Great first report card Chippy!

There is an ocean in our own backyard!

So the big Chippette news today is that her first '2 year molar' is starting to come in - her bottom right.  Also, she started jumping today with two feet.  She has been practicing jumping when coming down the stairs (not encouraged!) and today when Chippy was jumping, she joined in!  Way to go Chippette!

Castle Island

For this hot, hot day in September we were off to the beach!  This beach features the ocean and airplanes taking off and landing right over our heads.  Mummy was prepared for snacks and the sand - but what she wasn't prepared for were two kids who, all of a sudden, LOVE the water!  These kiddlets were clothes-less on the drive home!

Racin' Cars

We are fast falling into a routine here in the Boston Beanz household.  Play followed by an activity in the morning - lunch and a snooze - then play and another activity in the afternoon.  Today we ventured off to Dedham where the intended activity was not as fun as riding the escalator and seeing a giant bobble head!  Play time included cleaning up the basement and then getting out the scooting cars.  Since putting them away for the move, Chippette has gained the skills necessary to take on Chippy in a demolition derby!

Chippy is very excited about the new football season. He was chanting about the Eagles all through dinner and he gave up half his bedtime books to watch the 'end of the game'. When asked who his favourite player was ... Daddy!

Our Week of Camping

Our first week in Boston consisted of many picnics on the floor or on the back porch.  Chippy can't get enough of the ice/water machine on the fridge - a great feat of engineering in his eyes.  We managed to check out the local cupcake store and it all checked out just fine!
